A great sunday at the lake
by Edwin
This morning Dawn and I went to her local church. After a couple of sundays visiting old American churches, it was really nice to go to a modern living church. It was a huge building with a parking spot almost as big as a soccer field and like you expect when you see that, there were a lot of people in the church. There was a nice band and some good speakers. On the first floor there was a small cafe where we enjoyed some drinks and blueberry muffins (I think they’re typical American) after the service.
Back home we made the boat ready and hooked it up behind a big pick-up borrowed from a friend. Direction: the Mcclure Lake. Steve and Dawn have a huge speedboat with a 300 horsepower motor behind it, so when we were finally at the water, we had a lot of fun 😎 The best part of sunday afternoon was when they hooked up a tube behind the boat and I got dragged by the boat for many miles. I really couldn’t stop laughing while on the tube, because it was just so much fun! It was about 40 degrees Celsius today, so perfect weather to hang out at the beach the whole afternoon.
Completely sore we came back home, we went to another burger place (we’re comparing the burgers of the different restaurants these days ;-)) and completely tired we felt down at the couch and watched another movie. What a great sunday it was!
