Sunday in Central Park

by Edwin

In the morning we went to the Metro Church what made me think a bit of a gospel church. People were really happy and the preacher was super-excited, it was a good time. The weather was beautiful today, so with a couple of friends I went to Central Park in Manhattan. That was a great idea, I really enjoyed it. Although it was very busy in the park (apparently more people had this idea), it was still very nice. There were many street musicians, if you’ve read this blog for a while you know I love that, and also many street artists. We walked a long while from south to north and from east to west. Somewhere we had some icecream and we just kept walking until it became dark in the evening. It just felt so good to walk through central park. There are so many different people there, it’s New York!

On our way back we discovered that there was some roadwork in the subways and suddenly we were somewhere else than we planned to be. We couldn’t find the right subway to bring us home and then one of the girls suggested to take a yellow cab. I didn’t do that before, so that was very exciting! I really loved driving with a yellow cab through New York. I can recommend to do that too when you’re here, it’s something I think you should have done. 🙂 I’m really happy that my adventure hasn’t ended yet. To be honest, right now I’m absolutely not looking forward to go home soon, so I’m going to enjoy the last days of my journey as much as possible.

P.S. Since I didn’t had internet the last couple of days, I just uploaded more stories at the same time, so if you want to read more, you can click here to see the list of my recent stories.
