Back in San Francisco
by Edwin
Around sunrise I woke up and I happily parked next to a Starbucks. I went there for a cappuccino and internet. After I checked the mail and updated the blog I continued the trip to San Francisco. I really enjoyed driving the last miles to San Francisco and listening to some of my favorite songs on the radio. It was one of those moments that I have more these months: complete happiness! 🙂
On advice of the steward/pilot I met at my flight I went to the other side of the river to a small place called Tiburon. From there I took a ferry to San Francisco. The wind was blowing really hard and so except from one other man I was the only one at the upper deck. I was almost blown from the deck and had a hard time taking pictures, but it was enjoying to the max! It also gave a perfect view of the skyline of San Francisco.
When we arrived the coast of San Francisco it started to rain. It turned out to be one of the few days with bad weather. That didn’t stop me from enjoying walking through the city. Although I was already one day in San Francisco before about a month ago and despite of the bad weather, it was nice to be here again. I took the cable car to the centre of the city, that was really nice. You can hang on the side of the car and hold on tight. Especially downhill it was a lot of fun.
The rest of the afternoon I walked through the centre untill I had enough of the rain and I returned to the harbor. From there I took the ferry back to Tiburon. In the evening I drove the last miles of my roadtrip back to the house of my friends Dawn and Steve. When I arrived there no one was home. I knew Dawn was still at work, so I called Steve. He told me that he was at the neighbours place watching football together. I went there and was welcomed with a cold beer and pizza 🙂 We watched the football game and I was happy to be back home in Manteca again.
American Football! How fun! When do you return back to Amsterdam?
Hiya stranger..where have you been hiding all the time? Don’t you know that it was curiosity that killed that cat?
Vandaag waren je Tante Anje en ik bij je Oma op bezoek voor haar verjaardag. We zagen je prachtige kaart en waren diep onder de indruk. Wellicht heb ik wat teveel gepocht over jou…Anyway, don’t fuss at me for embellishing your credentials. After all it wasn’t that much a stretching of the truth. Guess your next stop will be Las Vegas huh?
Nog veel plezier Edwin en tot horens ziens of mails.
Groetn oet Grunn.
Je oom Don & tante Anje
